A: If you are an independently owned brick and mortar retailer with no national chain or big box store affiliations and you are open year-round, you fit the profile.
Q: What does CostumeAndPartyStores.com get out of listing businesses for free?
A: We are champions of truly independent retailers who face head-on the challenges necessary to compete with national chains and big box stores...besides everyone knows how to find "the other guys" anyway. We have worked in the costume and party industry for a combined twenty years and during that time have developed tremendous admiration for those mavericks known as independent retailers. Somewhere in our many discussions of how amazing, creative and diverse "the independents" are, this website idea came about. We have yet to find a listing such as ours on the internet, so we hope you will agree there is obviously a need. We may recoup some expenses by charging to additionally advertise your company, but our main purpose is to help retail consumers find you and bring additional business to your store which is why the basic listing is free. We believe firmly it is in everyone’s best interest to have the truly independent retailer around as you provide goods and services that will never be found with "the other guys".
Q: I want more than my name, address and phone number listed. Can I display extra information?
A: Yes, you can add your website url for only $5/month or your banner for only $10.00/month (paid yearly). You can also add a banner advertisement for $5/month (paid yearly). Click here to go to our advertising page.
Q: Can I advertise on this site if I’m not listed as a business?
A: No. You MUST be an approved business currently listed on the site to have a banner advertisement. We don’t want our users to have to weed through the stuff that doesn’t apply to them when they are searching for party related stores.
Q: Do I have to have internet to benefit from this service?
A: No. With a short interview of your business, we can get your business information listed including name, address and phone number so that users may contact you or visit your store.
Q: Do I have to have my own website to be on CostumeAndPartyStores.com?
A: No. This site’s purpose is to help people find local retail stores. We want to help the small store that doesn’t have as much exposure as the big companies get found.
Q: I would like to place a banner on this website, but I don’t currently have one. Is this something that CostumeAndPartyStores.com can help me with?
A: Yes. We can direct you to a few design companies to create your banner advertisements. See our advertise with us page for details.
Q: Once I submit my business, how long will it be before I’m listed?
A: Usually your business will be listed within 48 hours.
